Brief description

Hiking in the footsteps of the artist: The hiker encounters impressive rock formations and old mills. Even today, the locals like to tell stories about him. In 1994, the Hundertwasser Fountain was created at Zwettl's main square, and the village museum in Roiten was created by the artist in 1989.

Route description Hundertwasser trail short - Zwettl

This route runs through the special natural landscape of the Kamp River and starts opposite the Sonnenbad in the Kamptal. The path atmospherically leads past the Kaiser bust, the historic power plant, the Gschwendt mill, the Schwarz mill, and the Uttissenbach mill towards Hoher Stein. Then you continue hiking through the Weißenbach Gorge to the Schwarz Alm hotel, where you can replenish yourself, and return the same way back to Zwettl.

Equipment

Sturdy footwear, functional clothing, sun and rain protection, maps, if necessary telescopic poles, first aid kit (blister plasters), sufficient provisions (snacks, muesli bars, fruit, water).
