NOTE: Please be aware that this winter walk may not be completely maintained in snowy conditions and can have patches of ice. Use at your own risk! Be aware of it getting dark early and carefully plan your route!

Description

With its many hiking and walking trails, the Hohe Wand Nature Park is an ideal destination for the whole family. The Schneeberg view circuit offers a slow-paced circular walk which leads to the 18m high viewing tower with views of Schneeberg, Dürre Wand, Unterberg and if you’re lucky, even of the Neusiedlersee. You can meet animals in the enclosure where llamas and mouflons wait to be stroked. At the walk’s starting point, the nature park’s visitor centre, you can find out about the history of life in the Hohe Wand in the Alpine and Heritage Museum and stop for a bite to eat. Of course not to be missed is the Spiel- und Spaßberg play area because here children can live like a marmot, climb like a goat and just let off steam. In snowy weather, the Spiel- und Spaßberg becomes a sledging hill. The Schneeberg view circuit is maintained in winter.

Nature park entry fee: Adults €1.80 Children €1.00 Cars €2.00
