Informative, innovative and intriguing – these words describe the exhibitions showing in Lower Austria in 2020.

Exciting perspectives greet you in the exhibitions in the State Gallery of Lower Austria, the Kunsthalle Krems and the Cartoon Museum in Lower Austria in Krems/Danube and the palaces of Hof and Niederweiden go in search of the Austrian Empress Elisabeth and her son. In Asparn palace and in Mistelbach, the MAMUZ is exhibiting the ‘Mayans’ and ‘Construction in the Middle Ages’. Ludwig van Beethoven would have been 250 years old this year, the anniversary is being marked in his Lower Austrian home with exhibitions and events. The Arnulf Rainer Museum is celebrating the 75th birthday of its owner and one of the most important Expressionists, Egon Schiele, would be celebrating his 130th birthday this year, which the Egon Schiele Museum in Tulln is marking with a special exhibition.
