Die Gozzoburg befindet sich inmitten des mittelalterlichen Stadtkerns von Krems und gilt als eines der bedeutendsten mittelalterlichen innerstädtischen Gebäude Österreichs.
Its history begins in the 13th c and is far from being thoroughly researched. Its rooms from the 13th c are unique and boast the oldest secular frescoes in Austria.
These unique frescos require special conservation efforts and tours of them are limited and restricted to small parties of no more than 20.
