Lower Austrian Wine Road

One of the longest wine routes in the world

At 830 kilometers in length, the Lower Austrian Wine Road is one of the world's longest routes through wine country. It links all eight Lower Austrian winegrowing regions, listed here in the original German as they appear on wine bottles: Wachau, Kremstal, Kamptal, Traisental, Wagram, Weinviertel, Carnuntum and Thermenregion Wienerwald. These regions comprise more than 150 wine villages and about 1,700 winemakers.
