Mostviertel mulled cider

Serves 4

  • /2 l pear cider (for best results, a strong or crisp pear cider)
  • 1/8 l water
  • 4 - 5 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Brown rock sugar to taste

Method

Heat cider, water and spices in a pan with rock sugar to taste but do not allow to the boil.

Leave mulled cider to steep for around 5 minutes on a low heat and serve in preheated glasses.

Tip: Try putting sliced oranges and lemons in the pan
