Puchberg am Schneeberg
Kids can take to the pistes in the Kinderskiland which is open all year round, while adults charge through the deep snow in the unspoilt free-ride area.
The Puchberg am Schneeberg ski resort in Losenheim is the ideal winter destination for all. The little ones can learn to ski, while the grown-ups head for the larger pistes and huts, and seek adventure.
Kids on the slopes!
In a picturesque valley, just one hour’s drive from Vienna, the magnificent ski resort which is home to the Puchi’s Kinderland children’s zone, and where a magic carpet leads uphill, and where fun obstacle courses await you. Just around the corner is the Wunderwiese – a specially-designed slope made of plastic mats and which almost feels like genuine snow – which attracts skiers all year round, as well as the Wiesenflitzer, a 140m long tyre chute.
1 magnificent view and 4.1 kilometres of ski trails
The four-seat chair lift facilitates the climb to the unspoilt area which invites free-riding fans and experienced skiers to enjoy some deep-snow skiing. Those who would prefer to climb the mountain itself can also enjoy fantastic ski tours. We recommend the guided tours offered by the Ski- und Bergsteigerschule Peter Groß, where you can also book skiing classes. The relevant ski equipment can be hired on site. Our tip for the next stop: The Edelweisshütte hut at the chair lift mountain station, where a breathtaking view of the Puchberg valley floor and the face of the Schneeberg awaits.
Beyond the slopes
A horse-drawn sleigh ride makes the magic of wintertime come alive. But there are also plenty of athletic alternatives to the slopes such as ice-skating on a natural rink or whizzing down a sled run. Cross country skiers will have a grand time on the two trails in Losenheim!
