Baden Rosarium/Dobblhoffpark

Model garden

Description

Kurpark & Rosarium Baden - 200 Jahre Rosen-Tradition in Baden bei Wien

The 8-hectare Doblhoffpark with its idyllic pond is one of the most popular excursion destinations in Baden. The restored baroque orangery serves as an enchanting backdrop for long walks.

In the past, the park belonged to Schloss Weikersdorf, which was generally known as "Schloss Doblhoff" according to its last owners. In the 1960s, Doblhoffpark became the property of the municipality of Baden, where the present-day Rosarium was built following plans by architect Viktor Mödlhammer.

The Rosarium in Doblhoffpark, Austria's largest rose garden, welcomes visitors to take a stroll and have a good time all year round. More than 30,000 rose bushes are planted with more than 800 varieties of roses with names such as "Fairytale Queen", "Goldmarie" and "Empress Elisabeth". The roses bloom twice a year, once in June, then again in October.

Tip: Visit the Baden Rose Days in June!
