World in Motion

Until November 10th, 2019: City, country and people change. And this is exactly where this year's State Gallery of Lower Austria "World in Motion" in Wiener Neustadt comes in.

The State Exhibition of Lower Austria 2019 transforms the city of Wiener Neustadt into a stage. Multimedia presentations at two exhibition venues will illustrate how mobility has changed over the centuries and continues to shape our lives.

The casemates, which once served as city fortifications and are now an important architectural monument, have been restored for the State Exhibition. The new gallery focuses on Wiener Neustadt and its regional and global relations. In the second exhibition venue, the Museum St. Peter a.d. Sperr, the works of the Habsburg emperors Frederick III and Maximilian I are on display.  They ruled their empire from here and one shows how the former residence town of Wiener Neustadt became an industrial and innovation location.

From A to B

By the way, the two exhibition venues are within walking distance of each other. The way leads over the Marienmarkt. It is not only the hub of the city's everyday life, but also an ideal place for a short break to taste the region's culinary treasures. The city however cannot only be explored on foot. Guests have Segway and E-bikes at their disposal and, in line with the flair and theme of the State Exhibition, city tours can also be booked in a lovingly restored vintage bus. You see, Wiener Neustadt is and always remains in motion, until November 10, 2019.
