Description

The route from Droß to Senftenberg leads through breathtaking landscapes. Hiking through the picturesque forest and meadow sections, you experience a uniquely "grounding" time-out. A first stop is already worthwhile at the starting point of the tour. The Fatima pilgrimage church, Droß Castle and St. George's Castle Chapel rise up there and invite you to explore them. Then continue through peaceful nature to the Poberkreuz, where the Kremstal-Donau long-distance trail can be shortened in the direction of Senftenberg. Once you have arrived at your destination, it is also worth taking a trip to the fortified church of St. Andreas or to the Burgruine Senftenberg. Author's tip

The Burgruine Senftenberg in Kremstal tower high above the village. It is the landmark of the idyllic wine village of the same name and offers a magnificent view of the wine terraces where the typical Urgesteinsriesling grows. There are many things to explore at the castle ruins, and many stories entwine around the centuries-old building.

With the online Heurigen calendar, you can find out which Heurigen is marked.
