Route description Panorama Trail - Gutenbrunn

From the church square, a short, steep ascent takes you to the birch avenue. After about 500 m, turn left to continue on a 2 km gentle ascent to the highest point of the circuit (959 m). After 3.6 km, you reach the first viewpoint (magnificent view of Schneeberg and Ötscher). Then continue into the village of Ulrichschlag, where the Ballwein guesthouse offers a place to stop (909 m). Now the path leads to the most beautiful part of the hike: On the ascent to the Ulrichschläger Höhe, there is a wonderful view into the Ysper Valley and in the background St. Oswald, the Gesäuse, and the Haller Mauern. Continue on forest paths to the Ödbauer junction (after about 8 km). Here you have the option to visit the Hirschenstein, 1 km away (884 m), with its wonderful view or head straight back to Gutenbrunn. After the beautiful view, follow the signs back to Gutenbrunn.
