Hugo Wolf House

Description

The great song composer Hugo Wolf (1860-1903) created no less than 116 songs in the house of the Werner family, Brunner Gasse 26, including the wonderful settings of Mörike's poems, the "Spanish Songbook", the second part of the "Italian Songbook" and parts of his opera "The Corregidor". This prompted the market community in 1973 to set up a Hugo Wolf Museum in the authentically preserved house. The listed collection was newly presented in 2003 on the occasion of 100th anniversary of Hugo Wolf’s death.
