Route description 3 Sisters Route - From cellar lane to cellar lane

The hiking trail in Poysdorf starts at the Wine Market (guest information) on Brünner Street and goes left and then immediately right into the Radyweg cellar lane and from here uses the Weinviertel path 632 to Falkenstein. After about 3 km, we reach the Falkenstein forest. (Attention: the marking of the Weinviertel path applies through the forest: red-white-red). When we come out of the forest, there is a wonderful view over the town and Falkenstein ruin. Through a hollow path, we reach the famous Falkenstein cellar lane.

From Falkenstein, the hiking trail leads back through the cellar lane and along a farm track we hike through the Ackerweingärten site to Poysbrunn. The path continues through the Franzbergen cellar lane along the Märchensommerallee. Upon reaching the main street, turn right before the Mühlbach bridge and via the path and adjacent street reach the eastern edge of Poysbrunn. Here we cross the state road and initially use a farm track and then a field path in a northeast direction. Before the windbreak belt, turn right, pass a biotope and walk south to the next windbreak belt. From here, a field path leads left towards the motorway. Turn right on the farm track parallel to the B7. Cross the B7 and the A5 and walk to Herrnbaumgarten. When the second windbreak belt is reached, turn left, walk to the state road and then turn right towards Herrnbaumgarten. After the display vineyard, keep right, use the farm track and after 200 m turn left into Steinweg. Via this cellar lane, we finally reach the market town of Herrnbaumgarten.

The section towards Poysdorf starts at the Nonseum in Herrnbaumgarten and leads to Tiefen Graben. At Tiefen Graben, turn left and then right into Wagnergasse. From here, the hiking trail goes up on field paths to the quarry chapel and then onto the farm track where we keep right and thus return to the wine town of Poysdorf. After the “Bamhacklkreuz” on the Weißen Berg, we hike about 400 m beside Brünner Street and then go down left. The farm track then turns right. When the highest point is reached again, go straight through the hollow path and finally come into Bürsting cellar lane and then into Singergasse. Here turn right and after 150 m reach the Wine Market.

Tip: You can alternatively also start your hike in Herrnbaumgarten at the Nonseum or in Falkenstein at the municipal office.
