Where not a glass in the house stays dry: Imperial JUST ENJOY Tour of the Vienna Woods

This enjoyment tour around Baden tastes like delicious wines, smells like fragrant roses and attracts visitors to its spring-green gardens with regional delicacies.

Wine tavern culture, imperial city and pleasure stronghold: The thermal spa region around Baden is known for its good taste. While the wine spring in the Vienna Woods seduces the taste buds, seductive fragrances await visitors in the Rosarium, not only during musical walks.

Culinary highlights during the wine spring in the Vienna Woods

Spring is one of the most beautiful seasons in the Vienna Woods - numerous wine festivals, days of open cellar doors and other highlights of the wine year take place in this season. At "Wine in the Casino" as part of the popular thermal region wine festival, guests are spoilt for choice. Because with such a large offer you could basically drink a different wine from the region every day of the year: around 300 wines from more than 50 winegrowers are presented in the stylish ambience of the Baden casino and the dreamlike summer lounge terrace.

All year round there for wine connoisseurs

There is no more romantic and pleasurable way to enjoy the wines from some 50 Thermal Region wine makers: Gebietsvinothek Thallern, for its part, is a wine shop available to wine connoisseurs all year long and stocks vintages from more than 40 regional wineries in its historical barrel cellar. Here you immerse yourself in regional diversity and ideally, top off the day with a glass of Zierfandler at Spaetrot-Gebeshuber in Gumpoldskirchen, where excellent wines and delicious regional organic delicacies from Frau Gebeshuber also await you. Apropos eating: You should definitely try out the breaded fried chicken and huge slices of cream cake at Klostergasthof Thallern!

On historical and enjoyable paths

During the Badener Rosentagen everything revolves around the queen of flowers, the rose. In her honour, a series of events for all the senses awaits visitors in Austria's largest rosarium. Afterwards you can try "the finest sweets" in the courtyard of master confectioner Herwig Gasser - we recommend Beethoven Praline. Our absolute insider tip: Visit the delicious dairy farms Gaaden and Füllenberg and treat yourself to a bacon bread in the open air as refreshment! Simply marvellous!
