Kieneck

The Kieneck is very close to Furth an der Triesting and the hiking and water world Myrafälle Muggendorf. The summit can be easily hiked on relatively easy routes.

The reward is a stop at the Enzianhütte, which is open daily from the beginning of March to the end of November and offers seasonal and regional specialties as well as overnight accommodation. On the other hand, the most beautiful view of the Piestingtal valley beckons the summiteers.

Hiking routes

• Starting from the surrounding villages - Furth an der Triesting, Thal (Muggendorf), Hainfeld, Kaumberg or Weissenbach - the Kieneck can be easily and pleasantly hiked.
• A Kieneck route that is as challenging as it is scenic is the tour from Furth, which takes more than 6 hours and climbs along a section of the Vienna Pilgrims' Trail - while the descent takes in two more "one-thousand-metre peaks", the Almeskogel and Gaisruck.
