Mandelstein

The Mandelstein is 874 m high and offers a sweeping view of the Czech Republic and the Gratzener Land region. You can easily reach the summit after a climb of around 20 minutes from the parking lot. The path to the summit, with its summit cross, leads past a sound house and the memorial chapel. You will find stations that will familiarize you with the special features of the Waldviertel/South Bohemia cultural region. The viewing platform was built in 2013.

Every last Sunday in August, the meeting of the expellees takes place with a memorial service at the summit!

Take the opportunity to hike along the summit circular trail. The view of imposing rock formations and the path through the Stone Gate are well worth the effort.
