Description
The Leiser Berge Nature Park is located in the heart of the Weinviertel. From the highest elevation, the Buschberg (491 meters), with the lowest situated Alpine Club hut, you can overlook the diverse landscape with its fields, forests and dry meadows that have been farmed since the Neolithic Age.
Due to the partly plateau-like character of the forest and heath mountains, the extensive area of the nature park is particularly suitable for easy family hikes.
On the Oberleiser Berg (457 meters) you step onto historical ground - 6000 years of settlement history are made visible in the open-air museum around and in the showroom of the observation tower. From the tower, you have a panoramic view of the settlement site and the surrounding area. On a clear day, the view extends as far as the Carpathian Mountains, Rax, Schneeberg and the Pálava Mountains and even the Ötscher can be seen.
