A motivated kitchen team is at work at Klostergasthof Heiligenkreuz in the district of Baden, offering guests a welcome range of traditional home cooking, vegetarian, light dishes and newly interpreted dishes. Restaurant managers Andreas Horvath and Jaroslav Dombovari successfully manage the fortunes of the Klostergasthof, which has an 800-year history. From the Hubertus-, Wildegg- and Klosterstüberl to the hunting and wedding hall - guests are offered space to unfold within the sacred walls. In the summer months, guests can dine in the inn's garden with a view of Heiligenkreuz Abbey. The well-trained service staff are courteous and happy to tell you more about the history of the house.

It is the traditional tavern cuisine that is appreciated at Klostergasthof Heiligenkreuz. The game and fish specialties are seasonal highlights. The game ragout with napkin dumplings or the grilled salmon fillet with rice and vegetables testify to the high level of culinary skill. The monastery cream slice, served with a wild berry topping and vanilla sauce, makes for a successful end to the menu. A variety of products from the monastery's own production are available in the monastery store. The beer brewed at Schlägl Abbey is something to be proud of. The wines come mainly from the Thallern monastery vineyard. The inn in the heart of Lower Austria has also established itself as a fine address for Christmas, wedding and company celebrations.
