At the Klosterneuburg lido, the restaurant on the main square is celebrating its comeback in summer '21 with a new concept. The newly founded Strandcafe21 takes advantage of the beautiful location on the banks of the Danube just outside Klosterneuburg and to the north of Vienna to offer its guests relaxing hours. The aim is to give visitors a break from their everyday lives and to stay in people's minds even on days with bad or changeable weather - as a cozy retreat in a well-kept, natural area that people can visit to find relaxation.

The core range of typical open-air dishes such as Bernese sausages, French fries, cevapcici and baked classics is complemented by an extensive salad menu. We also emphasize the vacation feeling with Italian delicacies such as tramezzini, panini and a selection of crispy pizzas.

The drinks menu ranges from iconic local classics such as Himbeerkracherl, Almdudler and Schartner Bombe, to natural fruit juices in traditional varieties such as red and white grape, apple and pear and unusual combinations such as apple and pear, apple and pear and apple and raspberry. In addition to these cool refreshments, the restaurant offers FruFru drinks for our younger guests and buttermilk mixes as sparkling alternatives.

For the sweet-toothed among us, there are home-made candy shots, which have been transformed from well-known sweets into sweet sauces after months of tinkering. The Giotto, Raffaello, Nutella, white chocolate, After Eight, Ferrero Küsschen and Cheese Cake varieties offer a wide range of indulgence. They can be enjoyed hot or cold, are prepared with or without alcohol and are ideal as an accompaniment to the classic vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ice creams.
