Route description From Semmering to Hirschenkogel
Starten Sie bei der Talstation der Kabinenbahn. Halten Sie sich bei den Parkplätzen westlich und wandern sie vorbei beim Bergrettungshaus entlang der Sonnwendsteinstraße bergwärts. Nach 20 Minuten passieren Sie die Enzianhütte. Der Weg führt rechts an der Hütte vorbei, quert die Pisten des Hirschenkogel bis zur Wegkreuzung Hirschenkogel - Sonnwendstein. Hier bitte wieder rechts und die erreichen in ca. 10 Minuten das Liechtensteinhaus, die Millenumswarte, den Waldseilgarten und den Hirschi-Spielplatz. Alternativ kann man mit den Auf- und Abstieg mit der Kabinenbahn bewältigen.
Directions
From Vienna, take the A2 Südautobahn to the S6 Semmering-Schnellstraße and take the Maria Schutz exit. Turn right onto L4168. Continue on Semmering/L4168.
From Graz take the S6 Semmering motorway and exit at Spital/Semmering. Turn left onto Semmering Ersatz Str./B306. Continue on B306. At the roundabout drive straight ahead to Semmering.
Parking
Public parking spaces available at the top of the Semmering Pass
Travel by train to Semmering station. You can hike from the station to the hiking starting point (Semmering Pass) in approx. 25 minutes.
Alternatively, you can book a ride on the RUFbus Semmering-Rax, which will take you to the hiking starting point.
