Description

The Kamptal-Seenweg 620 is a hiking trail about 100 km long that runs along the Kamp river from Rosenburg to Zwettl and then follows the Zwettl valley to Nebelstein. It is also a section of the long-distance trail 06, the pilgrimage route to Mariazell (Lower Austrian Mariazell Way).

Route description Kamptal-Seenweg 620

The route can be divided into 8 sections:

Section 1 (Rosenburg – Steinegg): 11.6 km | 2½ hours walking time
Section 2 (Steinegg – Wegscheid): 9 km | 2½ hours walking time
Section 3 (Wegscheid – Krumau): 6.2 km | 1½ hours walking time
Section 4 (Krumau – Ottenstein): 16.8 km | 4 hours walking time
Section 5 (Ottenstein – Zwettl): 5 hours walking time
Section 6 (Zwettl – Groß Schönau): 6 hours walking time
Section 7 (Groß Schönau – St.Martin): 10.5 km | 2½ hours walking time
Section 8 (St.Martin – Nebelstein): 6.4 km | 2 hours walking time

Directions

You can reach Rosenburg in one hour from Vienna via the A22 and B4 or in 20 minutes from Krems via the B34.

Parking

Parking is available in Rosenburg.

From Vienna Spittelau by train towards Krems/exit at Hadersdorf am Kamp station. Then continue by train towards Horn/exit at Rosenburg station.
From Linz/Main station by train towards Vienna/Main station, exit at St. Pölten. Then continue by train towards Horn/exit at Rosenburg station.
