Route description Kreuttal Cycling Route

The route starts in Niederkreuzstetten (publicly accessible by train) and runs clockwise south to the villages of Hautzendorf and Unterolberndorf. Here you can admire picturesque wine cellar lanes. The route continues west through a lovely forested area (Is this the Kreutwald? If so, it could be well mentioned here) to Weinsteig and further to Großrußbach. Then it goes north to Ernstbrunn and Niederleis. Upon arriving in the Leiser Berge region, a break in nature is recommended: enjoy the landscape of the Leiser Berge Nature Park with the Buschberg and Oberleiser Berg, admire the animals in the Ernstbrunn Wildlife Park, or refresh yourself at the Buschberg Hut. The Leiserberge Nature Park is also home to signposted mountain bike trails and hiking routes. The Kreuttal route then continues east to Ladendorf (train station) and ends south again in Niederkreuzstetten.

Attractions and inns along the route invite you to an eventful cycling excursion in the Weinviertel.
