Destination point of the tourBad Großpertholz
Through the town past the school and spa center, you leave it heading towards Angelbach. Before Angelbach, a view opens up onto the Lainsitz valley as well as the Wachtberg. Through Angelbach, the path runs along the Lainsitz to the "Eisenwerk," where we cross the Lainsitz via a narrow footbridge. Afterwards, it continues towards Joachimstal, where after a few minutes of riding you leave the road towards Karlstift. A long, idyllic ascent follows along the Einsiedelbach to Karlstift. Shortly after Karlstift, a strenuous climb begins toward Binderberg, which, with its beautiful view over the upper Waldviertel, immediately makes you forget the strain. Here the highest point of the Nordwald route is also reached. Now it goes fast downhill through the Reichenauer Forest and over the "Leitenhof" into the Steinbachgraben, where you can gather your strength again before the final climb towards Bad Großpertholz ends the route.
