Route description Peace Chapel Hiking Trail
You walk past the cemetery down into the Zwettl valley. There you cross a small bridge and continue along a forest path to the scattered settlement Ober Rosenauerwald, where the Peace Chapel is located. This chapel was built in 1945 from fieldstones, as a thank you that the homeland was spared the worst of the war. The circular route continues through the scattered settlement and over forest and meadow paths back to Groß Gerungs.

Coming from Vienna via A22 and S5 to Krems, continuing via B37 and B38 to Zwettl and via B38 to Groß Gerungs.
Coming from the west via A1 to Linz, continuing on A7 and S10 to Freistadt, B38 to Karlstift, B38 to Groß Gerungs.
