Description
The 113-kilometre route with an elevation gain of 910 meters leads through the beautiful foothills of the Melk Alps. The rolling hills and wide fields of this region ensure a varied cycling experience. A particular highlight is the imposing Melk Abbey, which towers majestically over the Danube and offers an unforgettable view. Another gem along the route is the ascent to Osterburg Castle, which you usually have all to yourself. Charming villages in the Texingtal valley such as Mank, Kilb and St. Leonhard am Forst invite you to take a short breather.

Access by car via the A1 and S33 motorways, St. Pölten-Nord or St. Pölten Ost motorway exits.
Parking
There are paid underground parking spaces available in the government district area (partially free of charge during evenings and weekends)
St. Pölten is easily accessible by train via ÖBB and Westbahn. The main train station in St. Pölten is only a few minutes’ bike ride from the start and end point.
