Description

Iron Trail, Ybbsitz ("Eisenstrasse")

Hooks, heels, nails and pans once made their way from here to the wide world. The sparks of the glowing iron, the hammering of the hammers and soot-blackened faces shaped the region for centuries. Along the blacksmith's mile you can learn a lot about the life of the blacksmiths.

The adventure bridge takes you to the Fahrngruber Hammer. In the historic workshop from the 16th century, you can look over the blacksmith's shoulder and lay your hands on it yourself.

It starts in the FeRRUM - world of iron, which offers an interactive exhibition, interesting facts about a Black Countess and a shop with unique craftsmanship.
