Description
The Bärenköpfl is an inconspicuous ridge elevation with a height of 1,428 meters. It is located at the western end of the Mistelbacher Höhe, a ridge section on the Obersberg, a mountain in the Mürzsteg Alps in the Schwarzatal in Lower Austria. It forms the connection in the main ridge of the Göller-Gippel-Zug from the Gippel (1,669m) to the Obersberg (1,467m). The summit of the Bärenköpfl lies in the border area of the municipality of St. Aegyd im Neuwalde.

In winter, the surrounding area offers a wide range of opportunities for ski tours, snowshoe hikes and cross-country skiing.
