Description

The Eibl is a 1,002 meter high mountain in the northern Limestone Alps in the municipality of Türnitz.

Location: Mostviertel, Türnitz Alps, Lilienfeld, municipality of Türnitz

The hill is suitable for ski tours and easy hikes. The Teichhütte, which was rebuilt after a fire in 2011, is located on its summit.

Hiking to the summit

  • Family-friendly hiking with a baby carriage: you can reach the summit and the hut in just 1.5 hours via a hiking trail suitable for baby carriages. At the top, a large playground and a petting zoo with goats, cats and rabbits await children of all ages.

    The hiking route offers a diverse flora and a magnificent panoramic view. In autumn in particular, you can see as far as the Wachau and the Gesäuse on a clear day. A moderately difficult hike, takes approx. 6 hours.
