Mountain summit

Description

The Eibl is a 1,002 meter high mountain of the Northern Limestone Alps in the municipality of Türnitz.

Location: Mostviertel, Türnitzer Alps, Lilienfeld, municipality Türnitz.

The hill is suitable for ski tours and for easy hikes. On its summit is the Teichhütte, newly built after a fire in 2011.

Hiking to the summit

  • Family-friendly hiking with a stroller: you can reach the summit and the hut in just 1.5 hours via a hiking trail suitable for strollers. At the top, a large playground and the petting zoo with goats, cats and rabbits await big and small children.

    The hiking route offers a multifaceted plant world and a great panoramic view. Especially in autumn, with a clear view, you can see as far as the Wachau and the Gesäuse. A moderately difficult hike, duration approx. 6 hours.
