Granitschmuck Reinhart Kartusch
Handicraft
Description
"The granite that we use and process into necklaces, bracelets and earrings is mined exclusively in the Waldviertel and Mühlviertel regions. The light gray "Neuhauser" granite, for example, comes from the Mühlviertel, the dark gray is found near Gmünd and the reddish-brown comes from the Nebelstein near Weitra," explains Reinhart Kartusch, thanks to whose creativity the granite was transformed from primary rock to precious stone.
Uhren-Schmuck Kartusch was founded back in 1955 by master watchmaker Paul Kartusch. In 1998, the trained goldsmith Reinhart Kartusch took over the business and set up a goldsmith's workshop in addition to the shop. This is where the unique jewelry creations with various gemstones and local granite have been made since 2006. The "Waldviertler Urgestein" is mostly unpolished and processed with gold and silver into precious pieces of jewelry, each of which is unmistakably unique. Since Kartusch Granitschmuck's jewelry is finished in its own workshop (the cutting is done in a granite grinding shop), special customer requests such as the composition of the stones and the design of the chains can be easily taken into account. The focus here is always on the granite with its timeless gray-white structure, making it suitable for every fashion trend.
