Kalkofen

A relic of a bygone era. For many centuries, the art of burning lime was an important production process. At the last well-preserved and newly renovated lime kiln in the Dunkelsteinerwald, visitors can learn about the geological and historical background of an almost forgotten trade in the form of diagrams. Guided tours are also available on request.

Tip: The lime kiln is located on the route of the Geroldinger "tut gut" hiking trail no. 3 and is therefore an ideal detour on a hiking tour through the Dunkelsteinerwald.
