Description
The picture book chapel is a popular destination if you are looking for a place of peace and reflection. It is known as "The Beech Tree", although there is no longer any sign of a beech tree. The originally much-visited beech tree with the image of the Virgin Mary was soon replaced by a wooden chapel, which in turn was replaced by today's brick building. There are legends and sagas surrounding this place, which point to a history of several hundred years.
