Kastlkreuz

Description

The Kastl Cross in Nesselstauden was erected around the 18th century and renovated in 2001. According to legend, the cross was erected by the forester Kastl, who began to curse after several missed shots at a deer, whereupon the devil came and took him. Kastl began to pray in his distress and the devil dropped him. The forester erected the Kastl Cross on the spot where he fell to the ground.
The Kastl Cross is about a 30-minute walk west of Nesselstauden.
