Kellergasse Rosenpoint Mailberg

Cellar-lined roads

Description

The Rosenpoint wine cellar lane is one of several cellar lanes in the market town of Mailberg, a well-known wine village in the Weinviertel. It is located northwest of the town center and blends harmoniously into the gentle vineyards around Mailberg. The wine cellar lane is characterized by traditional press houses and small wine cellars, which were originally used for the production and storage of wine. A special highlight of the wine cellar lane is the so-called "Keller-Wohlfühlplatz". This lovingly restored square around an old press house has been designed as a cozy resting place during a walk, a bike tour and for wine lovers. Opposite the press house, benches and seating invite you to enjoy the "cellar life" and the view over the vines. Along the wine cellar lane, there are facilities such as an e-bike charging station, a bike rest service station with tools and an air pump, as well as drinking water.

The unmistakable charm of the Weinviertel wine cellar lanes can be experienced most impressively on a guided tour.
This provides fascinating insights into their history and the former significance of these special places.
