Swimming fun in organic water

With over 12,000 m², the Groß Gerungs outdoor pool offers plenty of space for relaxation, fun and sport. And all without chemicals (biological water purification in the large pool).
In the 1,640 m² pool, you can swim a few laps, play in the water and splash around with the children. The pool is complemented by a seating island with an invigorating fountain and a diving platform (1 and 3 meters). In the non-swimmers' area, which is around 560 m² in size, there is a wide slide that invites you to enjoy a fun slide. You can enjoy the sun on the large sunbathing lawn around the pool.
There is a solar-heated children's pool with water depths of 0 to 30 cm and 50 cm for very young bathers. The water in the children's pool is purified by a chlorination system.
Of course, showers, toilets and changing facilities are also available to visitors.
The lifeguards of the Samariterbund Groß Gerungs ensure safe swimming.

How does biological water purification work?
After the water has been pre-cleaned using sand filters, it is fed into the almost 300 m² constructed wetland. The interaction of the plants, the bacteria in the root zone system, as well as the fauna and flora in the open water body and in the cavity system of the gravel body cause the water to be purified naturally.
