Die kleinste Baukultur-Galerie Österreichs von ORTE Architekturnetzwerk Niederösterreich
Gallery
Description
ORTE Architekturnetzwerk Niederösterreich was founded in 1994 and is dedicated to the promotion and communication of high architectural quality and planning culture. Through building visits, excursions, discussions, symposia, publications and film screenings, ORTE fulfills its ambitious educational mission throughout Lower Austria. Over the decades, the scope of the Lower Austrian House of Architecture's activities has constantly expanded: in addition to architecture, the current program also includes topics such as sustainable urban development, sustainable transport policy, the circular economy and how our society deals with the landscape.
In October 2022, ORTE opened its own exhibition space in the Walter Zschokke Library in Krems, where the association's offices are also located. This "smallest building culture gallery in Austria" gives space to the work of the artists and architects in residence and presents their artistic and analytical view of building culture issues in the region. It also aims to offer architects from neighboring countries a platform to present their work.
ORTE can be found on the Kunstmeile Krems - next to the Caricature Museum.
