Description
The Peilsteinhut in the southern Vienna Woods is a cozy stop-off point for walkers and hikers - the "Via Sacra" pilgrimage trail and the Vienna Pilgrims' Trail lead right past the hut.

The Peilstein with its rugged, steeply sloping rock faces to the west is particularly popular with climbers. When the snow conditions are good, tobogganing is possible on the meadow next to the hut. There is also a cross-country ski trail in Schwarzensee.
Accessibility
By car to Weißenbach an der Triesting and on to the village of Schwarzensee with parking at the Schwarzensee parking lot. From Vienna via A 21 exit Mayerling and Raisenmarkt to Schwarzensee.
It is not possible to drive up to the hut, driving is prohibited.
