150 years of Praskac Pflanzenland - an anniversary that blossoms!

Praskac Pflanzenland is celebrating its 150th anniversary - a success story that goes far beyond the nursery. Since 1875, the family business has developed from a small tree nursery into one of the largest and most renowned assortment companies in Austria. Today, Praskac has an impressive 80 hectares of nursery land and a 15,000 m² garden center - a green oasis for plant lovers and a meeting place for all garden enthusiasts.

Praskac was already setting standards in the garden industry in the 1930s: the 1934/35 catalog listed over 1,800 different plant species - already unique in Austria at the time. Today, Praskac continues to stand for one of the largest ranges of plants in Austria and for the highest regional quality. In 2020, Praskac was the first nursery in Austria to receive the AMA seal of approval for flowers and ornamental plants.

Plant country tour
An experience of plants opens up, the development of plants from cuttings to finished garden plants is shown during an interesting guided tour and, in good weather, during a Pflanzenland tour. Another attraction is Austria's largest flower sculpture, the "PrasKatz", which at 8 m high and with around 12,000 plants has become the most photographed flower object from mid-May to October. Show gardens such as the roof garden, the shade garden, the astro garden and the completely new park directly in front of the garden center provide inspiration.
