Description
This is the oldest surviving defense tower in Scheibbs. It was part of the town wall, which was intended to protect the town center from enemy attacks. To the right of the tower are the remains of the town wall, the construction of which was ordered by Duke Albrecht II on the occasion of the town's elevation in 1352. It can be assumed that the wall was around 6 m high and had a crown width of up to 1 m. Today, exhibitions are held in the Powder Tower.
