Sommertheater Mödling

Since summer 2008, we have been THE summer theater highlight in the beautiful district capital of Mödling. With a wide variety of productions on the square between the Othmarkirche and the Karner (Jedermann, Zwölfeläuten, Mirandolina, Talisman, Unfisch, Volpone, Don Camillo and Peppone, Der brave Soldat Schwejk) and spectacular station theater productions in the city center of Mödling (Geschichten aus dem Wiener Wald and TATORT:Mödling 1111), we increase our fan base every year. Faithful, tight and interesting productions with approx. 90min. Afterwards, the audience is invited to a culinary finale in the adjacent pedestrian zone with its many guest gardens.

Due to its great success, the Mödling Summer Theater will be reviving Jaroslav Hašek's anti-war novel "The Good Soldier Schwejk" as an amusing stage version in 2024.

The stage version of the famous films will once again provide an unforgettable theater experience with over 40 roles in 20 different scenes in an opulent stage set - accompanied by a brass sextet.

The tried-and-tested, tilted auditorium guarantees the best view and a close-up theater experience. The tried-and-tested high-tech microphone system will once again ensure crystal-clear speech intelligibility.

There is a performance guarantee: in the event of rain, we will play in the nearby Europahalle on an attractively designed stage - with the same seating arrangement!

This year, there will be two additional concerts for the first time: on July 13, the TNO Big Band will play hits from the 70s and 80s and on July 31, the SIRTAKI-SCHRAMMELN will offer a little vacation in between with music from two countries!

After the performance, we recommend the many restaurants in the nearby pedestrian zone for a culinary end to an unforgettable evening.
