Stadtbad Hainfeld

Outdoor pool

Description

The first Hainfeld swimming pool was built in 1878 under Mayor Josef Ossberger on the initiative of the Beautification Association, whose chairman was the extremely active local councillor and later mayor Heinrich Zmoll, at the site of today's municipal swimming pool in the Badpromenade. According to a surviving plan, the original baths consisted of a swimming pool measuring approx. 25 x 10 meters.
In 1986/87, the baths were thoroughly renovated. The large pool was completely re-concreted and a children's pool was built suitable for small children. A completely new water treatment system is installed. The heating system is converted from oil to gas.
In 1996-97, the western part of the pool is completely rebuilt. An entrance area that can be locked with a roller grille is relocated to this part, and a buffet, ticket office, sanitary facilities, two changing rooms with clothes lockers and cabins are built.

The pool is open from May to the end of August (only in good weather).
The season ticket is also valid for the Parkbad Wilhelmsburg!
