Description

The Perina family has owned the approximately 1400m² plot, partly on a slope, since 2002. Over the course of time, a wonderful natural garden has been created here, providing food for beneficial insects all year round. Countless species of insects and birds now enrich the green paradise. Tina Perina attaches great importance to promoting native plant diversity and nesting opportunities provide the best possible shelter for beneficial insects.

Fire salamanders, lizards and the like feel at home in the natural swimming pond without technology, in stone walls, stone pyramids or in the reptile castle. Alpine ibex and stag beetles hide between shrubs and Benjes hedges. Hedgehogs are also an important topic. Sick or injured hedgehogs are cared for, nursed back to health and released back into the wild.

A great passion is upcycling old supposedly "useless" things. Old ladders, bathtubs, ovens, broken clay pots, bricks and roof tiles are lovingly integrated into the garden and live up to the garden's name. Next to the swimming pond, the fire pit is a popular family meeting place: this is where people spend cozy afternoons and evenings chatting and barbecuing. Vegetables and aromatic herbs are grown in the raised beds and in the herb spiral, which are eaten with relish at such gatherings.
