Wald- und Holzknechtlehrpfad in Lahnsattel

Description

The 23-hectare primeval forest on the Lahnsattel near St. Aegyd am Neuwalde has never been used for forestry. Today it is owned by the Hoyos family. In the primeval forest you can see - preferably accompanied by an expert on a guided tour: 350-year-old fir trees, wild ferns and extremely rare European orchid species.

The 1.5 km long trail shows a beautiful piece of forest and tells of all the avalanches that have taken place here.
