In the idyllic village of Pürbach near Schrems in the Waldviertel region of Lower Austria, located directly on the Franz-Josefs-Bahn, one of Austria's most enchanting theaters was established in 1986.From May to December, it offers a varied program with several in-house productions and selected guest performances from the fields of cabaret, music and literature, whereby the artistic quality of the productions is always the top priority.
The lovingly restored theater with a capacity of 176 seats has long since ceased to be an insider tip among art and culture lovers from near and far.With its stage that "plays all the plays", a cozy theater café that entices with romance, special wines and culinary delicacies, as well as a lovingly landscaped courtyard that invites you to linger in the warm summer months, it has long been an important fixture in the Lower Austrian cultural landscape.
