The cozy, bright vacation home Plessberg impresses with its beautiful view and quiet location. It is only a few minutes away from the spa center Lebensresort Ottenschlag.
The Wachau (World Heritage Site) with all its wine taverns is also just a stone's throw away.
There are several village inns in the immediate vicinity.
The beautiful, fully fenced garden is ideal for relaxing in a deck chair. Old creeper trees and a currant hedge invite you to snack.
Awarded the "Nature in the Garden" plaque by the state of Lower Austria.
The vacation home also scores points for sustainability, with the new geothermal heating system being particularly noteworthy.
The single-storey house itself consists of a well-equipped eat-in kitchen, which can also be heated with an old table stove. A small library, various games and a table tennis room are also available. Our house is also suitable as a home office location, with fiber optic internet and a large desk available.
In Ottenschlag, only four minutes away(Waldviertel winner of the "Tut Gut" hiking trails!), there are two supermarkets (Euro Spar and Billa), several coffee houses, restaurants, a large swimming lake (Oberer Teich), tennis, beach volleyball court, soccer field, cross-country ski trails and very nice children's playgrounds.
Many hiking trails lead through the municipality of Kirchschlag and the neighboring Ottenschlag and can be enjoyed from the house in the immediate vicinity. Hike the "path of life" through the southern Waldviertel in several daily stages. The Plessberg vacation home is a central starting point for this.
Particularly noteworthy is the good supply of organic products directly from the farmers in our community. From tasty potatoes to strawberries, eggs, Christmas trees, vegetables, poppy products, herbs and whisky, everything is available from the farm in Kirchschlag. A list of the products and the addresses of the farmers are available in the vacation home.
Well-behaved pets (on request!) welcome (€10/night)
If you want to bring your own horse, it can be stabled at our Icelandic horse stud Merkengerst (islandpferde-merkengerst.at)
Electricity consumption is included up to € 30/week, additional consumption will be charged at € 0.35 / kwh.
The sustainable geothermal heating is included.
