Information about the camping site

The camping site in Herzogenburg - on the gravel parking lot behind the Anton Rupp Freizeithalle - offers motorhome travelers the opportunity to take fresh water, empty camping toilets and stay for a while. Due to the flood damage, the 230V camping plug for the outdoor area is not available. Despite several attempts to repair it, it has unfortunately not been possible to put it back into operation. Extensive preparatory work and organizational coordination are necessary before a new plug can be purchased.

In order to ensure orderly use of the parking space, a number of guidelines have been established. The four designated pitches are intended exclusively for camper vans and motorhomes (maximum dimensions 5*8 m). It is a camping pitch, i.e. there is no reception, no registration, tents may not be pitched and, from a legal point of view, it is not permitted to stay for several days. The season lasts from April 1 to October 31, depending on the weather. Water can only be tapped during this period in order to prevent frost damage to the pipes.

The perfect location directly on the Traisental cycle route next to the adventure pool - Aquapark, mini golf course, Anton-Rupp leisure hall - including restaurant, bowling alley and sauna - offers the necessary infrastructure. The center of Herzogenburg can be reached after 1.5 km - here you will find restaurants, as well as the well-known Excursion destinations Herzogenburg Abbey, with an exhibition worth seeing. Numerous cycling and hiking trails in and around Herzogenburg are inviting - and many wine taverns offer wines and dishes from the Traisental wine region.
