Wegwartehof is a small, fine Demeter farm in the upper Waldviertel. It is located on the Wild plateau, a large, rugged forest area on the northern edge of one of Austria's most beautiful nature reserves. 14 hectares of land have been farmed here in Merkenbrechts near Göpfritz for over 20 years using biodynamic methods in accordance with Demeter guidelines. The focus is on the production of mare's milk and the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic herbs. Some of the produce is sold in its natural state, while the other part of these raw materials is processed into high-quality products. There is the unique Wegwartehof care line, fine mare's milk chocolate, exquisite herbal teas, fine herbal salt blends, fresh herbal syrups and seasonal specialties.
Our newly built 30m2 vacation apartments offer space for up to 4 people with a gallery, single kitchen, bathroom with shower, a double bed and a pull-out sofa in the gallery.
The terrace, which can be accessed from the gallery, offers a wonderful view of the farm's own park with lots of trees and the opportunity to enjoy the sunrise.
