The Mariazell Railway Trail consists of several stages. One of them starts in Annaberg-Reith. The approximately three-hour route is easy to walk - and is also suitable for families with children: From Annaberg-Reith train station, the trail follows a goods road to the Steinwandhof farm and continues along a marked path. The hike leads along the Lassing reservoir to Wienerbruck - and on to Josefsberg, the highest parish in Lower Austria at 1,012 meters above sea level. The trail continues downhill along idyllic forest paths to Friedenstein and on to the Erlauf before finally reaching its destination in Mitterbach.
