Description

Aschbach station is located in the western part of Lower Austria, in the district of Amstetten, in the market town of Aschbach-Markt. Space has been created for over 50 vehicles and 45 bicycles at the Park & Ride and Bike & Ride facilities, thus ensuring a convenient transfer to the train.

There is a ticket machine on the central platform that allows tickets to be purchased around the clock. Timetable displays and loudspeaker announcements ensure that passengers are always informed about the current train services.

Route information

The Aschbach stop is located along the Westbahn line.

  • Regional trains to Amstetten and St. Valentin run here.
  • Trains to Vienna Westbahnhof also stop here during peak times.
  • Bus connections to the town center of Aschbach, Seitenstetten and Waidhofen an der Ybbs are also available from the station.

Sonntagbergweg

Aschbach train station is an ideal starting point for a hike to the Sonntagberg. With fantastic views of the typical Mostviertel hills, the traditional square farms and the idyllic fruit tree fields, you will be rewarded again and again along the hike until you finally arrive at the pilgrimage basilica on the Sonntagberg.

Tip: At the foot of the Sonntagberg you can relax in the garden of the Gasthaus Lagler.
