Biohof Holzschuh

Biohof Holzschuh is a place that has lived with the rhythm of the seasons for generations. Here, germination, ripening and harvesting are experienced in harmony with nature and the balance of give and take is understood. Since 2009, the vineyards have been cultivated exclusively according to the strict guidelines of organic viticulture. The renunciation of mineral fertilizers, weed killers and systemic pesticides is an integral part of the philosophy. Instead, active planting and natural compost are used to increase the humus content. This planting brings more beneficial organisms into the vineyards and keeps the natural balance intact. The soil is seen as a treasure given by the ancestors that must be preserved and cared for. The Winzerhof is a heritage that has been run as a family business for generations. A variety of crops such as oil pumpkin, sunflowers, wheat and maize thrive in the fields, all of which are grown organically. Thanks to the manageable size of the farm, much of the work can be done as a family, which is what makes this place so charming.
