Brennerei Roman Kraus

The Roman Kraus distillery, founded in 1999, has built up an impressive catalog of over 50 varieties over the years. The range includes pure distilled brandies, pomace brandies, brandies made from wild fruits, bread schnapps and whiskey made from the distillery's own grain, as well as various types of gin. The distillery is particularly well known for its pomace brandies, which are made from Grüner Veltliner, Muskateller and very mature, full-bodied, wood barrel-aged pomace. This quality is reflected in the top product, the cigar brandy.

The numerous awards underline the quality of the products. Master distiller Roman Kraus has been awarded the Lower Austrian regional prize several times and received the title of 'Brandy of the Year' at the Destillata. He was also a multiple winner at the Weinviertel Schnapps Gala. The Roman Kraus distillery has also been successful at international level, including at the Berlin Distillery.
